Reservations and Policies
for Tropic Powerboat Rentals

Glacier Bay Catamarans are fast, expensive, high performance vessels not designed as a “Beginner” drive it yourself type boat. Our goal is to prolong our more than 25 years of local, safe boating. In order to accomplish that we have compiled a list of requirements with input from the USCG, Homeland Security, insurance agents and other local rental companies for any one wishing to operate the vessel. In order that we may assure safe boating for everyone we will adhere to these stringent requirements OR require the renter to select a Tropic Power Boat Rentals’ approved day guide to operate your vessel.

Your chosen guide for the day has extensive local experience in our waters and can take the stress, strain and responsibility off you as skipper and let you feel like guests while allowing you the freedom to select the course and destinations. Our guides can provide the inside scoop on the islands, pirate folklore, best snorkeling reefs for current weather conditions and famous beach side grub and grog watering holes. Your guide can be in control so you don’t have to be!

Cancellations by the Captain due to unsafe weather conditions will be allowed to reschedule and not charged any fees. Cancellations by guests within 48 hours of the rental will be charged in full.

Reservations for rentals will require a credit card deposit - we will hold the card until the day of the rental - you will be charged at days end the total of all fees (Guide, rental, fuel and dockage/customs). No shows will be charged in full.
